Michigan continues to show why many think they’re the best team in the country, dismantling the Golden Gophers 52-10 in the team’s third straight conference win. They moved to 6-0 on the season.
Quarterback J.J. McCarthy threw for 219 yards, one touchdown, and ran for two more. Blake Corum continued to find the end zone with ease, running for his 10th touchdown of the year on the team’s first drive of the second quarter.
The defense also continued to step up in a big way, forcing two pick sixes. In six games this season, the defense has given up only 40 points. On average they’re only giving up 6.7 points a game, best in the nation by a field goal.
After two weeks away, Michigan is back in the Big House on Saturday, October 14th where they’ll look to improve to 7-0 with a win against the 2-3 Indiana Hoosiers.
