The fall season is one of the greatest times of year to visit and explore Michigan. The temperatures are ideal, the foliage is vibrant, and nothing beats an autumn day in the Mitten State.

If you enjoy attending festivals, now is a fantastic time to go to one (or more) of Michigan’s annual fall events. From harvest festivals to Oktoberfest, Michigan celebrates everything and more throughout the autumn.

Michigan Renaissance Festival

The Michigan Renaissance Festival, held every weekend from mid-August through October, transports visitors to the period of knights, monarchs, and maidens.

There are also magicians and jugglers, over 100 artists in the festival marketplace, and cuisine worthy of a feast. If you’re searching for a festival that’s jam-packed with entertainment, this is the one to attend.

Apple Festival

Commences on October 14, 2022. Nothing screams fall has landed in Michigan like several types of crisp, fresh, tasty apples until October 16, 2022. Freshly picked apples, among other things, may be found in Northwest Michigan.

The Apple Festival is an excellent opportunity to purchase locally, particularly for food. Vendors sell it all, from cider to pastries to bagels to syrup, and it’s all created locally. Make sure to visit the arts and crafts exhibition as well, where you can purchase one-of-a-kind things for relatives and friends just in time for the holidays.

Fall on the Island Festival

If you haven’t been to Drummond Island yet, you’re in luck since this festival is a terrific way to see everything the region has to offer. This festival features something more to keep the whole family entertained over the weekend, with live entertainment, corn hole competitions, a pub crawl, a kid’s parkrun, arts & crafts, and more. What’s the best part? This year’s festival theme is MAS*H, and it will include a “Klinger” costume contest, show trivia, and field medic demonstrations. This event starts on October 7th till the 9th.
